Professor Dr. Jeffrey Aronson

Biography

Jeffrey K Aronson is a Consultant Physician and Clinical Pharmacologist at the University of Oxford, where he teaches medical students the fundamentals of therapeutics. He has a special interest in researching methods of classifying, detecting, and reporting adverse drug reactions, and has authored several key texts on drug therapy. Aronson has contributed to the prestigious 'Oxford Handbook of Practical Drug Therapy' and served as editor for 'Meyler’s Side Effects of Drugs.' His research encompasses systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and studies on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. He has also been involved in policy-making as the past Vice-President of Publications for the British Pharmacological Society, and has played a significant role on the advisory boards for various pharmacological committees. Through his work, Aronson has made substantial contributions to advancing clinical pharmacology education and research.
