Biography

Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite is a leading health services systems researcher with an international reputation for his work in investigating systems improvement. He holds visiting adjunct professorships at various universities including Newcastle University, the University of Birmingham in the UK, the University of Southern Denmark, and the University of New South Wales. He is also an Honorary Senior International Research Fellow at the Canon Institute for Global Studies in Tokyo, Japan. With considerable expertise in researching culture, structure, and leadership in acute settings, his work addresses management changes in health sector organizations, quality and safety in healthcare, and accreditation processes in international contexts. Professor Braithwaite has published over 899 refereed contributions and has presented more than 1,500 times at conferences and workshops.
