Biography

Jeffrey L. Callen is the Inaugural Rotman Chair in Accounting at the Rotman School, University of Toronto. His research interests focus on corporate valuation, accounting information in capital markets, efficiency measurement, and economics of non-profit firms. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance and as an editor for Contemporary Accounting Research, while also being a co-editor for the International Journal of Auditing. Callen has extensive editorial experience with the Accounting Review and the China Journal of Accounting Research. He currently serves on the editorial boards of Contemporary Accounting Research and various other academic networks. As the current president of the Multinational Finance Society, he engages in industry projects and oversees Master's research and PhD student supervision in corporate finance. His teaching encompasses financial and managerial accounting, emphasizing the importance of financial information in decision-making processes and providing a thorough understanding of cost behavior, budgeting, and performance evaluation in organizations.
