Biography

With over 30 years of experience in architecture, Jeffrey Davis has developed extensive expertise in the design and construction of a diverse range of architectural projects, from small renovations to large-scale, multi-million-dollar new constructions. His portfolio includes educational, corporate office, high-technology research, industrial, civic, commercial retail, and healthcare recreation buildings, as well as single-family residences and multi-unit housing developments. As the founding principal of FortyEighty Architecture, he actively engages in every stage of projects, from initial programming and design conceptualization to the development of construction documents and administration of the construction process. His design approach seeks to balance aesthetic and performative aspects of each project, considering context, structural integration, operational systems, minimizing environmental impacts, and human-scale proportions. Under his leadership, the firm has received national, regional, and local awards for design excellence, environmental sustainability, and smart growth. In addition to his practice, Jeffrey has served as an adjunct faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University for the past 16 years, where he teaches Advanced Construction Studio.
