Biography

Jeffrey Alan Davis received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and PhD from Georgia Tech in 1993, 1997, and 1999, respectively. He has co-authored 75 refereed publications and his papers have been referenced by 2500 researchers worldwide. He co-authored and co-edited a book titled 'Interconnect Technology Design' published by Gigascale Integration, which was translated into Chinese and republished in 2010. His current research interests include exploring low-frequency electrical properties of nanocomposite materials, investigating the surface polarization mechanisms in large bandgap insulators, and examining energy storage limits in dielectric nanolaminate structures. Additionally, he focuses on microstructural simulation in nanocomposites using finite difference finite element methods, as well as applications of supercapacitor energy storage in transportation, robotics, and computing. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to teaching and research, including the NSF CAREER Award in 2001 and the 2002-2003 Outstanding Junior Faculty Award from ECE.
