Biography

Jeffrey Douglas is a Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He specializes in Biostatistics and has a strong background in Quantitative Biology and Quantitative Methods applied to Social Sciences. His research focuses on Psychometrics, Latent Variable Models, and Multivariate Categorical Data Analysis. Prior to his current role, Professor Douglas served as an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1995 to 2001, where he was also involved in Medical Informatics. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he is an Associate Editor for both Statistics Interface and Psychometrika.
