Clinical Professor Jeffrey Erickson is the director of the International Sustainable Development Projects Law Clinic (ISDPLC). He is admitted to practice before Pennsylvania state and federal administrative agencies. Prior to joining Penn State Dickinson Law in 2010, Professor Erickson was a litigator and counselor in Denver, Colorado, specializing in medical malpractice defense and insurance defense matters. He helped launch Lee & Kinder, LLC in 2008, focusing on administrative law with an emphasis on workers’ compensation. Additionally, Professor Erickson served as a law clerk for Chief Judge John P. Leopold and Chief Judge William B. Sylvester in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District. In Colorado, he has been active as pro bono counsel for Colorado Lawyers’ Committee’s Legal Night Task Force and Mi Casa Resource Center Women, as well as Centro San Juan Diego. As a clinical law student, he volunteered with the Innocence Project Interpreter Project, advocating for statewide policy entitlement for interpreters for non-English speaking criminal defendants. Professor Erickson remains committed to pro bono legal service and participates in the pro bono work of Penn State Dickinson Law’s clinical programs. Under his direction, the ISDPLC has collaborated on various University-sponsored development projects, providing students with legal due diligence advice and drafting legal instruments for humanitarian engineering, global health, and social entrepreneurship programs. Professor Erickson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Penn State and received his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
