Dr. Jeffrey Finger

Biography

Jeffrey Finger is an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan Law School and serves as the managing director and co-head of the debt advisory restructuring group at Jefferies. With over 25 years of experience, he has advised numerous companies, boards of directors, financial sponsors, and creditors across various industries on matters related to restructuring, recapitalization, liability management, financing, and mergers and acquisitions transactions. His expertise includes managing complex restructuring and debt advisory engagements, which have involved over $60 billion in debt and more than $15 billion in financing raised. Before joining Jefferies, Finger was a partner in the debt advisory restructuring group at Centerview Partners. He also held the position of managing director at Miller Buckfire & Co. and was a member of the financial restructuring group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, where he worked in the investment banking division of Wasserstein Perella. Finger is a frequent lecturer and panel participant at industry conferences, focusing on current topics in restructuring. He co-authored a chapter on Chapter 11 sale processes in the publication "Navigating Today’s Environment: Directors’ and Officers’ Guide to Restructuring" (2023).
