Biography

Jeffrey Inaba helps students develop urban design architecture proposals through informed collaborations with renowned partners, such as the Berggruen Institute and Sea Ranch, supported by funding foundations. As a licensed architect, Inaba’s Los Angeles- and New York-based firm, Opening, works on a variety of projects from strategy to details. His clients include high-profile organizations such as Interscope, Red Bull, YouTube, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He originally started his firm as principal of AMO, contributing to research at OMA. Inaba has also spent ten years serving as Features Editor for Volume magazine and has contributed to numerous architecture publications. He teaches at UCLA and previously served as director of the C-Lab at Columbia University, and he was part of the team led by Rem Koolhaas on the Harvard Project on City. Inaba is committed to encouraging inclusion and equity in the community and serves on the boards of local organizations.
