Biography

Jeffrey P. Kanne is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison specializing in thoracic radiology. He has a special expertise in interstitial lung diseases, lung infections, pulmonary vascular diseases, and high-resolution CT chest imaging. Dr. Kanne is a NIOSH-certified B-reader with experience in occupational lung diseases. His professional interests also include postgraduate continuing medical education, utilization management, and the clinical implementation of new technologies. In 2020, he was named a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. Dr. Kanne has authored and co-authored 150 articles in radiology and contributed to multiple chapters in textbooks on thoracic imaging. He is a regularly invited lecturer on topics of thoracic imaging at national and international conferences. Additionally, he co-directs the ACR’s High-Resolution CT Chest NIOSH B-Reader Certification courses and chairs the ACR Education Center Advisory Board. Dr. Kanne also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Thoracic Imaging.
