The goal of my lab is to understand how networks of connected neurons interact to organize complex behaviors. We investigate neuronal sensorimotor circuits and brainstem control of innate behaviors, as well as how higher-order brain structures engage circuits appropriately to regulate behaviors. Our laboratory employs a combination of molecular, systems, and theoretical neurobiological techniques to address important topics in neuroscience.
