Biography

Jeffrey Wilson is an Associate Professor and Director at the School of Environment, Enterprise Development (SEED) at the University of Waterloo. His research focuses on the intersection of economic and environmental research policy, specializing in low-carbon pathways, corporate social responsibility, sustainability strategy, and natural capital accounting. Wilson is dedicated to advancing sustainability innovation and promoting corporate sustainability for achieving net zero transitions. Prior to joining the University of Waterloo in 2019, he ran a boutique consulting firm for 18 years, working with industry and government to develop sustainability measurement strategies aimed at enabling low-carbon pathways. He is actively involved in several university initiatives, including serving as an assistant director in the Economic Development Program and a member of the Institute for Sustainable Energy and the Climate Institute. His Terrametrics Research Lab welcomes students who are interested in sustainability research and encourages them to apply by submitting a CV.
