Jeff Wong is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy and a clinical pharmacist at the Hamilton Family Health Team, specializing in Primary Care. His clinical practice focuses on the management of diabetes, chronic pain, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He has a keen interest in deprescribing and interprofessional education. Recognizing the need to introduce diversity training into the pharmacy curriculum, Jeff developed a course aimed at preparing students for future work with patients from traditionally underserved backgrounds. He strongly believes that exposure to diverse narratives—personal narratives of individual patients and historical narratives of unique patient groups—can help strengthen empathy among future pharmacists. His teaching style is informed by Narrative Medicine principles, which he integrates into his clinical practice. He teaches several courses at the University of Waterloo, including PHARM120, PHARM220, PHARM221, PHARM376, PHARM378, and PHARM425.
