Biography

Jeffrey Yip is an Associate Professor in the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Boston University and an M.Ed. in Human Development Psychology from Harvard University. His research primarily focuses on work relationships, career development, leadership, and mentoring. Jeffrey has a significant background in leadership development, including work as a consultant for public and private organizations and has co-founded the Halogen Foundation in Singapore. Before joining Simon Fraser University, he taught graduate courses in organizational psychology and talent management at Claremont Graduate University and Boston University. At Claremont, he directed the Talent Science Lab and served as an advisor for the Accenture Talent Innovation Lab. Currently, he directs ListeningWorks, a research group dedicated to the study of listening leadership development, which has contributed to notable research fellowships and awards. His research has been published in various reputable journals and he has written chapters for academic publications discussing mentoring and organizational behavior.
