Biography

Jeffrey M. Young is a Master Lecturer and Program Director of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. His research interests include school district leadership, equity in education, policy education, community engagement, and executive coaching for educational leaders. He is recognized for his contributions to educational leadership and has delivered talks at prominent institutions, including the International Education Conference in Beijing, China. Young aims to provide innovative education for children in Cambridge, focusing on overcoming challenges related to race and class. He holds an EdD in Administration, Planning & Social Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, an MA in Education from Tufts University, and a BA in English & American Literature from Brandeis University. He teaches various courses, including Advanced Budgeting, Educational Politics, and Organizational Analysis. Young has received several honors, including the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents President’s Award and the Brandeis University Levitan Award for Leadership.
