Dr. Jelena Mirkovic

Biography

Jelena Mirkovic is a Research Associate Professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Belgrade in 1998, followed by a Master’s degree and Doctoral degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research interests encompass various aspects of networking security, with a specific focus on current issues such as botnets, denial-of-service attacks, and IP spoofing. Additionally, she is engaged in developing methodologies for conducting security experiments in collaboration with colleagues at USC/ISI, aiming to enhance the DeterLab testbed for more effective security assessments.
