Dr. Jelena Mirkovic

Biography

Jelena Mirkovic is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California. She received her Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Mirkovic's research interests encompass networking security, with a focus on critical issues such as botnets, denial-of-service attacks, and IP spoofing. She is currently engaged in methodologies for conducting security experiments with colleagues at USC/ISI, aiming to enhance the DeterLab testbed for better security experiments and studies. Throughout her career, she has contributed significantly to understanding and developing solutions for complex security problems in networked environments.
