Biography

Jenifer Ticehurst is an Honorary Lecturer at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Resource and Environmental Management and her Ph.D. in 2004 focusing on hillslope hydrology and its effects on locating tree-belt plantations in Australia. Jenifer has over 15 years of experience at the Fenner School and has been involved in various integrated catchment assessments and management projects. Her work has included development of the Coastal Lake Assessment Management tool and studies on the feasibility of managed aquifer recharge within Australia's cotton industry. Since 2020, she has been a part of the Biosecurity social science team at the Australian Bureau of Agricultural Resource Economics and Sciences, where she has developed guidelines to assist program staff and policymakers in managing agricultural biosecurity threats. Her research interests focus on increasing the sustainability of Australia's agricultural sector while protecting the natural environment, with strong interest in integrated assessment modeling and participatory decision support tools.
