Biography

Jenna Gerdsen is a theatre historian and dramaturg whose research is situated at the confluence of Theatre Studies, Asian American, and Indigenous Studies. Her teaching and research areas include theatre history, historiography, interculturalism, and critical race theory, specifically regarding Asian American and Pacific Islander theatre. Jenna earned her PhD in Theatre Performance Studies from the University of Maryland College Park, where she was awarded the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award.
