Biography

Jennifer Blesh is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability, where she is a broadly trained agroecologist. She employs interdisciplinary research approaches to understand the ecological and social outcomes of food systems. Her ecological research emphasizes diversified agroecosystems, soil nitrogen and carbon biogeochemical cycles, ecological nutrient management, and legume nitrogen fixation. Before her current role, Blesh served as a post-doctoral fellow for the National Science Foundation International Research Fellowship Program at the Federal University of Mato Grosso in Brazil.
