Biography

Jennifer Chang is an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington (UW) School of Pharmacy. Her professional interests encompass patient safety, quality improvement, institutional pharmacy practice, and scholarship in teaching and learning, particularly in experiential education. She has been instrumental in the leadership and design of the new Pharmacist Provider Series (PPS) PharmD curriculum, collaborating closely with practice experts and faculty to ensure readiness for practice. Chang earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of British Columbia in 1995, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1997 and completed her PGY-1 residency training at UW in 1998. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and has held various positions in health systems, focusing on clinical practice, pharmacy administration, and medication safety. Currently, she teaches multiple courses in the PPS series and serves as Co-Director of the UW School of Pharmacy Teaching and Learning Certificate Program. Chang is passionate about mentoring and precepting students and PGY-1 residents and has received several awards for her teaching excellence.
