Dr. Jennifer Chen

Biography

Jennifer Chen, MD, grew up in Great Neck, New York. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and earned her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Chen completed an Internal Medicine residency at Duke University Medical Center, followed by a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She pursued advanced cardiac imaging training at Columbia University, focusing on echocardiography, including transesophageal and interventional echocardiography, as well as Nuclear Cardiology, which involves cardiac SPECT and PET. Dr. Chen joined the Cardiology Division at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College as a full-time faculty member in fall 2017. In addition to her expertise in adult echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, she maintains an outpatient clinical practice in general cardiology. Dr. Chen is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of both the American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Her board certifications include the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease, as well as the National Board of Echocardiography in Nuclear Cardiology.
