Biography

Jennifer Donnan is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2005 from Memorial University and completed a Hospital Pharmacy Residency in 2006 at London Health Science Centre. She earned a Master of Science in Health Technology Assessment Management from the University of Toronto in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration from Memorial University in 2014. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy at Memorial University in 2019. Her research interests encompass Choice Modelling, Health Care, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Evidence Synthesis, and Patient-Oriented Research. Professor Donnan is involved in teaching Applied Health Research and Pharmacy Business Management. Her current projects include evaluating cannabis policy in Newfoundland and Labrador and advancing practices that measure patient preferences to support health care decision-making. She has published extensively on patient preferences in bariatric surgery and the comparative safety of antihyperglycemic medications.
