Biography

Jennifer Floto is a veteran public relations practitioner with 48 years of corporate agency experience. She serves as a Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Journalism at USC Annenberg, where she teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Known for her expertise in content creation, applied research, and lifestyle PR, Floto has worked with some of the world's leading brands and various government organizations. She began her journey at USC as an adjunct instructor before joining the full-time faculty in 1998, where she has been instrumental in launching a re-imagined graduate curriculum. Her leadership experience includes serving on the executive board of IABC and as a three-time past president of the Hermosa Beach Rotary, which received the prestigious Rotary Club Excellence designation in 2013. Floto is committed to fostering superb writing, research, and critical thinking skills in her students, and she has been recognized for her outstanding teaching and mentoring with several awards, including the USC Mellon Mentoring Award in 2012 and the USC Professor of the Year in 2006.
