Dr. Jennifer Gierisch

Biography

Jennifer Gierisch is an Associate Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences and the Department of Medicine at Duke University. She is a behavioral scientist and health services researcher whose research emphasizes behavioral factors impacting health behavior uptake and maintenance. Gierisch's work includes evidence synthesis to inform health interventions and community-engaged research methodologies. She has served as the Co-Director of the Evidence Synthesis Program at the VA ESP and has been actively involved in the development of research initiatives aimed at enhancing patient health outcomes through evidence-based practices. Gierisch has also contributed to teaching and mentoring through her roles in various health and research programs at Duke, firmly establishing her as a leader in the field of health services research.
