Dr. Jennifer Gilner

Biography

Jennifer B. Gilner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University. She is a clinician-scientist whose career focuses on the care of women during pregnancy while advancing scientific understanding of pregnancy complications such as preterm birth and placenta accreta spectrum. Dr. Gilner has received advanced training in medical and surgical care for women with pregnancies affected by medical conditions and pregnancy-related complications, and she possesses basic science expertise in immunology and mechanisms of tolerance during pregnancy. She completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Duke University and holds an MD/PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Gilner has a strong research background, with numerous grants focused on maternal-fetal interactions and immune mechanisms affecting pregnancy outcomes. Her professional activities include serving on the Board of Directors for the Pan-American Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum and contributing to various committees and symposiums related to reproductive immunology and obstetrics.
