Biography

Jennifer E. Golden is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and serves as the Associate Director of the Medicinal Chemistry Center. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Eastern Illinois University in 1996 and obtained her PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Kansas in 2002. Following her doctoral studies, she pursued postdoctoral research in the Department of Chemistry at Stanford University. Prior to her current role, she worked in industry at Amgen and held various academic positions at the University of Kansas including Assistant Director and Associate Research Professor. Her research focuses on Natural Product Synthesis and Drug Discovery, particularly in the area of biosynthesis. She has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring students in her field.
