Biography

Dr. Lau’s research focuses on modern Chinese literature, travel literature, diaspora studies, and translation studies. Her current project lies at the intersection of Chinese Studies and Asian-North American Studies, analyzing the writings of transient diasporic Chinese individuals in North America beginning in the 1860s.
