Biography

Jennifer H. Lingler is the Associate Dean of Research and a Professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis. She is focused on building nursing research capacity and teaches in the PhD program, leading seminar proposal development and advising students. Her research centers on the ethical implications of late-life cognitive impairment, provider-patient communication, and the responsible return of biomarker testing results for Alzheimer's disease. An internationally recognized expert, she has contributed significantly to influential guidelines and served on numerous national working groups related to Alzheimer's biomarkers. Previously, Lingler was a tenured professor and vice chair of research at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing and held secondary appointments in the School of Medicine. She has been involved in the NIA-funded Alzheimer Disease Research Center and has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles. In 2018, she was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
