Biography

Jennifer Roloff's research focuses on improving the understanding of Standard Model particle physics, with a particular emphasis on utilizing novel jet observables and reconstruction techniques through machine learning. She is currently a member of the CMS collaboration and was previously a longtime member of the ATLAS collaboration. Roloff completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and obtained her Ph.D. in experimental particle physics from Harvard University. Following her Ph.D., she held a postdoctoral appointment at Brookhaven National Laboratory before joining Brown University as an assistant professor. Her work includes precision jet measurements, pileup mitigation, jet reconstruction, and jet calibration, as well as applying machine learning techniques to jets and conducting searches in physics related to the Standard Model.
