Dr. Jennifer Strauss

Biography

Jennifer Leigh Strauss is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the University of Miami and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. With extensive experience in mental health research, she has focused her work on interventions for veterans, particularly regarding managing osteoarthritis in primary care and trauma-related PTSD. Over the years, she has received funding from the National Institutes of Health for her research initiatives. Dr. Strauss has held various appointments at Duke University, progressing from Assistant Research Professor to Associate Professor and then to her current role as Professor.
