Biography

Dr. Jennifer Vergel de Dios is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Western University. She completed her medical training at the University of Toronto and her anesthesia residency at Western University. Dr. Vergel de Dios has a strong interest in global health, having undertaken the MEDICI Global Health fellowship, focusing on global maternal mortality and gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Economics from the University of York in the UK. Her research interests include safety in low-resource operating theaters and patient discharge policies for emergency referrals.
