Dr. Jenny Lam

Biography

Jenny Lam obtained her Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Nottingham. She worked at the National Physical Laboratory for a year and a half, where she was awarded the Maplethorpe Fellowship which allowed her to continue her research at King's College London. In 2009, she joined the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy at the University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2016. In 2022, she returned to the UK and joined University College London (UCL) School of Pharmacy as an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics. Her research focuses on the development of novel delivery systems for macromolecular therapeutics, including nucleic acids, proteins, and antibodies, with a special interest in using particle engineering methods to produce inhaled and nasal dry powder formulations for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases. In 2020, she was awarded the DDL (Drug Delivery Lung) Emerging Scientist Award in recognition of her significant accomplishments and innovations in inhalation science.
