Dr. Jenny Ma

Biography

Jenny Ma is a Lecturer at Columbia Law School, where she previously served as Senior Counsel at the Center for Reproductive Rights. In this role, she led complex, high-stakes reproductive rights cases in state and federal courts, including counsel in the significant case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization at the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to her current position, Jenny worked as a law clerk for the Honorable John T. Noonan, Jr. at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Robert W. Sweet at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She has also gained experience at prestigious law firms, including Jones Day and Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP. Jenny is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she was recognized as a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar and a Ms. JD Fellow, and received the Louis Henkin Outstanding Note Award scholarship. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree from the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor's degree with honors from Wesleyan University. Her professional excellence in the legal field is evidenced by her leadership and advocacy for women's advancement, earning her the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Women’s Leadership Award.
