Biography

Jenny Russell is a Lecturer in Property Law at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London. She holds an MA, LLM, and PhD in Law from the University of Cambridge. Prior to her current role, she was a Herchel Smith Fellow in Law at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and taught at Wadham College, Oxford. Furthermore, she worked with the Law Commission for England and Wales. Her research primarily focuses on land law, particularly mortgage possession law and the concept of mortgagor vulnerability. Her PhD concentrated on this topic, and she plans to develop it into a monograph in the future. Broadly, Jenny is interested in how Land Law intersects with other legal fields such as human rights law, equality law, and consumer law. At KCL, she lectures and conducts tutorials for the undergraduate Property Law module. Outside of her work, she enjoys playing competitive netball and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
