Dr. Jerald Lalman

Biography

Jerald Lalman is a Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Windsor. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto, along with a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. His research focuses on several key areas within environmental engineering, particularly the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater, biomass conversion into valuable products, and the extraction of lignin. He also explores advanced topics such as nanoparticle photocatalysts for the degradation of pollutants and energy production. Dr. Lalman has published numerous studies highlighting innovative methods in renewable energy and waste management, contributing significantly to the field. His professional affiliations include the Professional Engineers of Ontario, American Chemical Society, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineering, indicating his active engagement within the engineering community. He is dedicated to advancing knowledge in sustainable engineering practices and contributing to improved environmental outcomes through his research and teaching.
