Biography

Jérémie Richard is a licensed clinical psychologist in Ontario and Quebec and an Assistant Professor at the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. He obtained his Master of Arts and Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from McGill University, where he also completed a predoctoral internship in the Mood and Anxiety Disorder Program at the Allan Memorial Institute, part of the McGill University Health Center. From 2023 to 2025, he served as a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, working in the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research (CPCR). During his time at CPCR, Dr. Richard worked as a clinician-scientist, engaging in research focused on the therapeutic potential of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for severe physical health and psychiatric conditions. His current research interests include transdiagnostic treatment approaches at the intersection of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. Dr. Richard has authored over 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented his research at numerous national and international conferences.
