Dr. Jeremy Asnes

Biography

Dr. Asnes provides diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization services for children and adults with congenital heart disease. He performs complex procedures including transcatheter heart valve implantation, atrial septal defect closure, patent ductus arteriosus closure, and stent placement. With extensive experience in intracardiac echocardiography, Dr. Asnes is skilled in using general anesthesia for these procedures. He joined the Pediatric Cardiology Section at Yale in July 2005 after completing additional training in interventional cardiac catheterization at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His research focuses on evaluating new catheter-based therapies for congenital heart defects and he actively participates in clinical trials. Dr. Asnes is dedicated to advancing the field of pediatric cardiology and utilizing new technology to reduce the need for open-heart surgeries. He emphasizes collaboration between adult and pediatric cardiologists to ensure comprehensive care for patients. In his current role, he also directs the Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Yale, where he trains and mentors the next generation of cardiologists.
