Biography

Dr. Jeremy Grushka is an attending trauma surgeon and surgical intensivist in the Division of Trauma General Surgery at McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGill University. Jeremy completed his medical degree and general surgery residency training at McGill University, followed by subspecialty training in trauma surgery and critical care at Ryder Trauma Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. He also completed fellowship training and earned a Masters in Public Health from the University of Miami, as well as a Master’s in Science in Experimental Surgery from McGill University. In addition to his clinical practice, Jeremy has developed a strong interest in surgical education and currently serves as the Trauma Fellowship Program Director at McGill University. He is an active member of the MUHC Centre for Global Surgery, working on education and surgical capacity building projects with local partners in Haiti, Nepal, and Ukraine. His clinical research interests include error-producing conditions in trauma, non-opioid pain management for injured patients, the host inflammatory response to injury, and surgical education.
