Biography

Dr. Jeremy Heit is an Associate Professor of Radiology with a courtesy appointment in Neurosurgery at Stanford University. He serves as the Chief of Neuroimaging and is the interim director of Neurointerventional Surgery at Stanford. His research focuses on advancing the understanding of cerebrovascular diseases while developing minimally invasive treatments, particularly for ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, cerebral aneurysms, and vascular diseases of the brain. Using state-of-the-art neuroimaging techniques, Dr. Heit aims to improve clinical outcomes by translating basic scientific research into innovative therapies. He completed his MD and PhD at Stanford University and underwent additional training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, radiology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and a fellowship in neurointerventional radiology at Stanford. Since joining Stanford in 2015, he has established a research laboratory dedicated to neurointerventional practices.
