Biography

Dr. Jeremy Shumaker received a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. After graduating, he remained connected to the school, working at the Clinical Research Center as an Associate Clinical Professor. He has more than 17 years of experience working as a private practice clinician and educator with a special interest in vision therapy, learning-related vision problems, sports vision performance enhancement, and concussion rehabilitation. He collaborates on research projects in sports vision performance and concussion-related vision rehabilitation. Additionally, he serves as the Clinic Chief of Sports Vision at UC Berkeley, mentoring third and fourth year optometry interns and providing care for patients referred from the Tang Student Health Center, Cal Athletics, UCSF/Benioff Children's Hospital, Stanford, and various professional sports teams in the Bay Area.
