Jeremy Stein is the Moise Y. Safra Professor of Economics at Harvard University, where he has been a member of the faculty since 2000. He teaches courses in finance at both the undergraduate and PhD levels. Prior to joining Harvard, Stein spent ten years on the finance faculty at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was the J.C. Penney Professor of Management. His contributions to economics include editorial roles in journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the Journal of Economic Perspectives, as well as advising in the Obama Administration as a senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary on the National Economic Council.
