Jeroen Bergmann is a Professor and Innovation Engineering Theme Lead at the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre, with a focus on developing innovative healthcare technologies and processes. His multidisciplinary background merges engineering principles with medical expertise to create solutions that address under-served healthcare needs. Jeroen has authored numerous publications that explore the intricacies of medical device design, validation, and regulatory compliance. His current research interests include developing preventative assistive technologies, creating wearable sensors for activity monitoring in extreme conditions, and researching solutions for limb-deficient patients. Additionally, he oversees the 'Need-led device development with data-driven regulatory support' domain at the NIHR HealthTech Research Centre.
