Biography

Jerold S. Kayden is the Frank Backus Williams Professor of Urban Planning and Design at Harvard University Graduate School of Design and the founding director of the Master in Real Estate Program. He previously served as co-chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design and director of the Urban Planning Program. His research and teaching focus on land use environmental law, public and private development in urban settings, public space, and urban disaster resilience in the context of climate change.
