Biography

Jerome (Jerry) Karnick is a Lecturer at Penn Carey Law. He serves as the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President at Victra, which is Verizon’s largest authorized retailer. With over twenty-five years of experience, Karnick has held various senior business legal executive positions at Verizon. His tenure included roles such as Senior Vice President of Corporate Assets Environment, Health, & Safety, General Counsel for Verizon Wireless, and Senior Vice President Deputy General Counsel where he was responsible for legal support within Verizon’s Chief Administrative Office and Central Marketing Organization. Before his time at Verizon, Karnick spent years in private practice and began his career as a law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Miami, a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
