Biography

Jerry Tomberlin is a Professor at the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, focusing on Supply Chain Management. He has held numerous senior leadership roles, including Interim President and Provost Vice-President (Academic), as well as Dean of the Sprott School. Tomberlin has been an active member of several prestigious boards, including the Board of Directors for AACSB International and previously chaired the Board of the Canadian Federation of Business School Deans. Before joining Sprott in 2008, he served in various capacities at John Molson School of Business, including Dean and Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. He has also taught at the University of Southampton, Baruch College, and l’École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales in France. Tomberlin holds a PhD in Statistics from Harvard and has a Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from Michigan, along with a BS in Mathematics from Florida State. His research interests include data analysis, statistical applications, and various topics within transportation and academic business research. He has consulted for prominent organizations, including NASA and General Motors, and has published numerous articles in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
