Biography

Jesper Rindom Jensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronic Systems at Aalborg University, Denmark. He was born in Ringkøbing in 1984 and pursued his academic journey at Aalborg University, where he received his M.Sc. (cum laude, 2009) and Ph.D. (2012) degrees. His academic career is complemented by extensive international experience, having held positions as a Visiting Researcher in Canada, Germany, and the UK. As the head of the Audio Analysis Lab since 2023, he has been a member since its inception in 2012. His research primarily focuses on signal processing theories and methods, as well as artificial intelligence applications in audio processing. His work includes contributions to noise reduction, spatial audio, robotic and drone audition, beamforming, and tracking localization. He has authored around 100 peer-reviewed papers and co-authored significant texts, including "Speech Enhancement – Signal Subspace Perspective" and "Signal Enhancement Variable Span Linear Filters". He is also an Associate Editor for the EURASIP Journal on Audio, Speech, and Music Processing and a member of multiple IEEE and EURASIP technical committees. His commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in research is evident in his role as a mentor for the next generation of engineers and researchers in a dynamic field. His expertise is related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in terms of audio signal processing advancements.
