Dr. Jesper Norda

Biography

Jesper Norda is a lecturer at the University of Gothenburg, specializing in sound design and composition. He graduated in 2002 and has since focused on time-based art, including sound, video works, sculpture, and photography. His artistic practice incorporates regular exhibitions both nationally and internationally, participating in solo and group exhibitions, as well as festivals and concerts. He is represented in several art museums and public collections. As a sound designer, he has worked in diverse environments such as film, radio, stage projects, and interactive digital projects. His notable collaboration includes working with the sound design team at Kokokaka studio in Gothenburg, contributing to projects such as Volvo Technology. Jesper has also served as a teacher and guest lecturer at various art institutions, including the Valand Academy and Nordic Watercolor Museum. His artistic approach often questions the boundaries between sound and silence, challenging conventional perceptions of sound through his works. He draws inspiration from both visual and auditory elements, making his work a significant contribution to contemporary sound art.
