I am an Assistant Professor at USC leading the GLAMOR (Grounding Language in Actions, Multimodal Observations, And Robots) Lab. Previously, I was a visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher at Amazon Alexa AI and the University of Washington. I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018, working with Raymond Mooney. My research area brings together natural language processing and robotics to connect language with the physical world, known as RoboNLP. My work centers on developing methods to enable robots to understand and interact with their environment through language, integrating various perceptual inputs such as visual, tactile, and auditory senses. I focus on connecting language to actions, inferring goals from language, and promoting lifelong learning in dialogue with humans.
