Dr. Jessica Baird

Biography

Jessica Baird, DNP, FNP-BC, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the University of Michigan School of Nursing. Her expertise as a family nurse practitioner encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and management of allergies and asthma across the lifespan. Dr. Baird emphasizes evidence-based practice in her clinical work, focusing on patient education, health promotion, shared decision-making, and chronic disease management. With extensive experience in pediatric critical care and primary care, she prioritizes empowering patients and families through active listening and collaboration in care planning. In her teaching, Dr. Baird specializes in undergraduate clinical education, bringing her clinical experience into the classroom to deliver core courses such as Introduction to Clinical Practice and Therapeutic Nursing Care.
